Meditation Monday

On this Meditation Monday, I invite you to pause for a moment of reflection.

Sit. Take a few deep breaths to still yourself—to relax your body and slow your thoughts. Let stillness wash over you. Breathe in this moment, this very special, present moment. Allow yourself to relax. To be still and know ...
To be ...

Living in the present takes full effort and concentration.
When we practice living in the "now,"
we realize each moment is special.

We will never experience this exact circumstance
in this way again.

We will never see these sights, hear these words,
feel these emotions in the same way ever again.

Concentrate on savoring and enjoying the moment at hand
so it is not a lost jewel, but a valued treasure.

Now, does your heart have anything to say?

Jan, this was a lovely way to start my day. My heart is saying go through this day with love. I pray it spreads to others as they encounter me. :)

Good morning, Sarah, and welcome! I, too, am glad you found the blog and that this message jumpstarted your morning. I will check out your blog as well. :-)
Blessings!

Tabitha,
What a beautiful intention for yourself this day: To BE the love we wish to see in the world. Nothing is more powerful than that! Hugs!

I do try hard to live for today, meditate & try to keep my mind clear of negative & repetitive thoughts but it doesn't always work 100% for me. I know it is something you have to work at, the more you do it the easier it gets. I am trying to commit to meditating every day to keep my mind clear, to experience what is happening right NOW. I think reading what others, who are more experienced will be a great help, thanks

There seems to be a theme here in Bloggerland today. Jen at muddybootdreams.blogspot.com posted a similar invitation.

Hmmm....is the Universe attempting to send me a message.....

I have a very full day planned with a very long list of to-do's. I will make a point of setting aside some time today to meditate, as well.

Thank you Jan, for the lovely reminder to relish each moment of every day.

*Blessings*

What a nice reminder to relish the moment and not always be pulling ahead, or lagging behind in the past.

So I want to use my present moment now to give you and your blog a compliment. Love the new blue header - it is very relaxing, and soothing to the eye. Great choice!

P.S. We're still contemplating young women's role models, and I'm hearing a few interesting thoughts which I'll relay to you shortly!

Dear Liz (cherokee fox),
I salute you for your strong commitment to stay centered in the present moment through meditation. Not always an easy task when the world swirls in, but the practice does, in time, as you attest, have great benefits. We ARE here more, here in the NOW.

Carolynn,
Well, maybe the great, grand Universe was trying to get your attention! That does seem to be how things work. Just when we need it most, a message seems to appear and reappear to get our attention. Hope your day was rooted in the present, even with that To Do list!

Caroline,
I always loved the mantra by Ram Dass: Be Here Now. :-)

Diantha,
We all need reminders, each and every day, to simply listen. Stop. Be still. So glad we can do this with one another.

Joanne,
The past and future have such strong pulls on us, especially "what's next." Glad you've taken a breather here today.
