EmBody with Me at Bliss Chick
To love oneself is the beginning

I am at Christine Reed's Bliss Chick Blog today and I hope you'll join me there.
She asked me some very challenging questions about how I really feel about my body and today the interview is posted. This, as part of a fabulouso series she's doing on how well we're listening to and honoring our bodies. She calls it "EmBody Talk" and it is completely thought-provoking and inspiring. With her as guide, we are moving into greater acceptance of our bodies as sacred.
Please hop on over. I'd love to hear how YOU are doing with and in your body these days! Click here.

On way to blisschick to read more:)
Thank you so much for your words...I am 56 years old and struggling with all the changes my body is going through. You are so right on about acceptance...once again, thank you! It is an affirmation of what I know deep inside, but sometimes forget.
Sharon,
Welcome. We are the same age! Yes, self-acceptance is so vital to our overall well-being. It is about letting go of unrealistic ideas of perfection as well as accepting the fact that our bodies DO age and change and do not always do what we want them to. Plus, humor helps! Blessings to you.
Hi Jan! I once commented on a blog written by a 30-something that was insanely preoccupied with weight. All the commentators were too - their stomachs, their cellulite, stretchmarks etc. I left a comment that said once you hit 50/60 range, you'll be watching your face FALL and sag and you won't even notice your gut/butt anymore. I had hoped to lend a little perspective - though doubtful it had that impact.
You're right - our bodies are going to change and acceptance must rule! While I try to stay in shape, it's far more for my health over all than my body image.

SuZen,
I do hope that a few "young" souls latched on to your wisdom. I chuckled when I read your words because they sure rang true for me too. May we all embrace our bodies in new ways for health and longevity.
just getting caught up here, but loved your answers
Lisa,
Thank you. It was an interesting exercise to be so public about this issue. :-) May we all continue to bless our bodies....
