Meditation Monday ~ Relationship Blessings
As you prepare yourself for the deeper recesses
of your own awakening,
be aware of the relationships that begin
to form at this juncture of your soul growth.
They are here to sustain you,
souls to assist you,
and walk by your side
as you move through any intensity
on the journey
to your truest self.*
This Meditation Monday, take a sacred pause to bring to mind a new relationship ...
... Someone whom you have recently met in the course of your daily life or here in cyberspace.
Perhaps your soul has drawn you toward each other for the purpose of mutual growth.
Think on them. Imagine him or her standing right in front of you.
Visualize a pleased look upon their face as they gaze back at you.
Take a few centering breaths and drop your attention to the heart center ~ to yours and your friend's.
Visualize a flow of warmth or light, a cord of connection, moving between the two of you.
Notice how thinking about this soul friend in this way "raises your vibration,"
lifting your mood,
naturally creating feelings of well-being,
aligning you with the Heart of the World,
ushering in an experience of gratitude.
Breathe in friendship,
breathe out gratitude.
Gratitude is one of the highest vibrations we can experience, a true virtue of the Spirit.
When you are in need, trust the wisdom of your soul to bring a companion your way. Sometimes all we need do is ask for it to be so. An open heart is a guiding heart ...
Today, does your heart have anything to say?
I'd love to hear ...

Jan, whenever I have a need there has always been a special person that ministered to that need. Most of the time it has not been who I thought it might be. Someone will encourage, listen, might be something I read or just a smile that lifts the spirit. That is why meditation and daily prayer is important. A time to be still and communicate needs and thankfulness. God is always good.
Jan, I have to say, you have been that person for me recently. Thank you so much for your kind, caring encouragement. I am so grateful that our paths have crossed.
Truly, my heart feels filled to overflowing today. You are most definitely one of those friends whom I bring to mind. I'm so profoundly blessed to be able to bring a great many more, as well.

Jan,
I see your smile. My heart vibrates with the warmth, compassion and sincerity of your heart. You inspire me. You bring an indescribable joy to my life.I am grateful for your friendship.
One Woman,
Isn't this so true? It is very often someone who comes into our life who is totally unexpected, often even a stranger who we share tender moments with. All can uplift. I salute your faithfulness to your practices that keep you plugged-in to the Divine.
April,
It has been such a pleasure to "meet" you too. The feeling is mutual. Blessings!
Carolynn,
May your heart continue to overflow with love and appreciation for your "human" gifts of the Spirit. And animals too, especially in your case. I appreciate our friendship too!
Cheryl,
I am definitely grateful for your kind words and uplifting presence too. Pema Chodron often describes our "natural warmth" as humans and how important it is for us to access this. I am grateful to have been the recipient of yours!
As I write these responses, a lovely solitary swan floats by on the Bay. I'm looking for her partner, as they always travel in pairs. When I see one, I am ever reminded of the gentleness of friends, especially if we are are feeling a bit lost. How important that is! I am hoping that this sweet swan is on the way to meet her anamcara too!
What else can I possibly add to this lovely post...except to say thank you for being an anam cara for me dear one.
gentle steps
I do feel this "flow of warmth" and a natural high vibrational energy between my spiritual mentor and myself. When the mutual intention is to bring in the Divine Spirit then the grace is poured within and between us. I become aware of the abundant blessings when I just surrender to the moment.
I "breathe in friendship, breathe out gratitude" today. Thank you for this beautiful reminder Jan!
Laura,
As you are for me. The Divine surely blesses us daily. May you be healthy and strong today. xo
Julie,
Lovely, very lovely, and thank you for the cyber hug and blessings. Your journey is quite amazing to witness. xo
May you feel happy and strong today.
I a grateful to all of the beautiful mothers, sisters, friends I have met on my healing journey.
May we continue to be mirrors for each other, to remind each other of the love that shines in our eyes when we are afraid or doubt the love that is always there in our own hearts.
Jan, as I read your beautiful words, I felt my heart opening up. Your thoughts resonated with me in a way that only a heart-connection can provide.
Thank you.
Thanks for posting this Jan. Many years ago I used this technique a lot...especially when there was someone in my life who wasn't open to communicating...and I had forgotten all about it.
The blessing of it is that I needed to remember this right now!
This is lovely. I am meeting a blogger friend for the first time tomorrow, so this is perfect.
Thank you Jan. xoxo
Mermaid,
A perfectly lovely thought - that soul friends serve as mirrors to one another. We reflect back our struggles as well as our victories...and we help each other remember our wisdom...I am grateful too for the gifts of this kind of friendship. xo
Debra,
Wonderful! I am glad to know the meditation helped. May all our hearts open in tender ways to give thanks for these anamcara friends....
Kate,
Don't you just love when this happens? We get what we need most...if our ears are open to hear and our hearts are open to receive. Blessings to you this day!
Annie,
I hope you had a marvelous visit with your blog friend and that soul moments were shared. xo
Hi Jan .. thank you for these thoughts - the photo is brilliant .. I have some wonderful friends spread around the world and similarly some amazing blogging friends .. so I'm mighty grateful ..
We seem resonate similar thoughts, love and support on the net .. and that I think is great ..
You and some others .. it's a wonderful medium .. fun too ..
Enjoy the week .. Hilary
a quote from Anais Nin comes to mind...
"Each friend represents a world in us, a world not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
Lovely thoughts. You are blessing to so many, and a friend in spirit too. I count you among my relationship blessings, as many here do also!
I am also reminded of my group of Soul Sisters from my church, a multi-generational group of women who have supported one another for years, and have sailed with me through some rough waters.
Hilary,
Kindred spirits across the miles are such fun and a joy to journey with. You are one!
Joanne,
This is one of my favorite quotes. Thank you for sharing it here. It is true, isn't it? We never know what will be birthed within us without the divine presence of another. xo
Cindy,
I appreciate your nice thoughts. Your church soul sisters sound like marvelous women to journey with. Blessings!
The excerpt that you shared is a wonderful reflection of the sisterhood I am experiencing in my life right now. I've longed for the friends I have right now for many many years. I'm beyond thrilled to be in this season of my journey!
Looking forward to Monday's teleconference!
